Brunswick gets busy at Coram's Field
03 July 2009

Representatives from the Brunswick gathered in mass last week at Coram’s Field to help give the children’s playground and park a summer spruce as part of the shopping centre’s ongoing support for the charity.
The clean-up team consisted of 18 volunteers from the Brunswick, including the centre manager, members of security, facilities and marketing teams plus representatives from the shopping centre’s owner and managing agent, Hermes and Cushman & Wakefield. The volunteers were also joined by the Brunswick’s environment and community mascot, Buzz.
Clean-up activities throughout the day included painting of window frames, railings and guttering; pruning and hedge trimming; gutter clearing; sweeping; levelling the bark in the children’s play area plus weeding and sweeping the massively overgrown Nature Garden.
It wasn’t just volunteers from the Brunswick team that got involved with the clean up efforts. To ensure the team were equipped for the day’s hard graft, tools and equipment were supplied by Brunswick contractor, LPM while Reliance Security provided additional staff members to assist with the day’s activities. A steady flow of refreshments and lunch was also provided throughout the day by Brunswick tenants; Apostrophe, Giraffe, Nando’s, Starbucks and Waitrose.
Commenting on the day, David Plumb, Centre Manager at the Brunswick said, “It was great to get the team down to Coram’s Field and really get our hands dirty. I want to thank everyone involved on the day and behind the scenes for their brilliant efforts. The service and facilities Coram’s Field provides are second to none and we really wanted to show our support for everything they do in the local community. We’re already planning the next clean-up day!”
Sandy Wynn from Coram’s Field said, “It was great to have so many volunteers from the Brunswick team dedicate some time to the clean-up day. The work they did and the results they achieved were fantastic and we look forwarding welcoming them through the gates again.”
